Encounters with Heritage

The Insular General Archive hosts the colloquium "The Architectural Legacy of Betancuria. Traces of a Protected Memory," part of the Encounters with Heritage series, promoted by the Cultural Heritage Service. This event offers an insight into the traditional architecture of Betancuria, through the contributions of the authors of the Heritage Catalog.

The speakers will share key insights to understand the historical, architectural, and ethnographic value of the built heritage of the municipality, addressing its typologies, construction techniques, and materials. The activity pays tribute to the importance of identifying, documenting, and protecting this legacy, contributing to its conservation and dissemination as an essential part of the identity of Betancuria and the collective memory of Fuerteventura.
