As one of the wildest beaches in the Canaries, with the largest dimensions and least urban developments, it is hard to find the adjectives to Cofete beach justice. Situated in the south of Furteventura, close to the town of La Lajita, you’ll find Playa de Costa Calma – Costa Calma beach - two kilometres of white sand and refreshing turquoise waters. Its idyllic shoreline invites you to stroll along the sand, admiring the impressive views of a coastline full of ochre mountains, smoothed by years of erosion. Protected from the wind by the hotels and apartments, a dip in the sea is just a few short sandy steps away from your hotel terrace or pool.

The main beach on the Isle of Lobos, north of Fuerteventura, is an ideal place to start the day, then continue to explore this uninhabited island of 4.5 square kilometres. It's also a good idea to end your excursion around this scarcely populated islet, only accessible by boat, with a refreshing dip. Either way it’s very advisable to take the opportunity to enjoy the generally calm - and at times - totally still Atlantic and this legendary beach of virtually white sand, offering over a kilometre of tranquillity.

On an island like Fuerteventura, whose coastline is all beach, Esquinzo only serves to further enrich visitors’ options, with its status as a wild, untouched haven, a surfer’s paradise and a hideaway of peace and sunshine - lots of sunshine. In the town of La Oliva amid the rugged northern coastline, little visited and relatively unknown, this spot sits quietly in the landscape. The black volcanic rocks morph into golden sands and the blue ocean bathes the land. This is quintessential Fuerteventura.

Butihondo beach is close to the Esquinzo Butihondo development, to the north of the large tourist town of Morro Jable. It’s a semi-urban beach spanning almost three kilometres, divided into different sections, which allow large areas of seclusion and tranquillity even though you are in a tourist zone. For this reason, the beach, situated in the south of the island, is perfect for nudist bathing in complete privacy, for sunbathing or practising a variety of water sports.

In the north-east of Fuerteventura you will find the beaches of the coastal village of El Cotillo. To the north they extend into a series of family-friendly coves of white sand and calm turquoise waters. La Concha beach is one of them, and is one of the best-known in Fuerteventura for its beauty, quality and tranquillity. The beach's close proximity to the town allows you enjoy a break with incredible sea views and amazing sunsets, where the sky changes from ochre to violet in a matter of minutes.

In the large tourist area of Morro Jable, in the south of Fuerteventura, you will find a huge white sand beach with tranquil waters, shimmering shades of turquoise and emerald. This is Morro Jable beach and it stretches from Las Gaviotas beach in the north to the centre of the coastal town of Morro Jable, in the south. Running alongside the kilometres-long beach is an avenue with excellent shopping facilities and a view of the emblematic Morro Jable lighthouse, standing out from the sea.

Here in Caleta de Fuste, on the island of Fuerteventura, you will find a beach where you can relax under the Canarian sun. El Castillo is a quiet beach that was traditionally used by residents of Puerto del Rosario. It's a safe beach with soft golden sands and tranquil waters all year round, due to its location in a small bay. Ideal for a relaxing holiday beside the Atlantic Ocean.
